Do I have to cook the full package of Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs? If I don’t want to cook the full package, how should I store the remaining meatballs?
No, you have the option of cooking a few meatballs at a time. The remaining meatballs can be stored in a sealed container or bag for cooking at a later date.
If I don’t cook the full package of Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs, how long will the remaining meatballs be good for in the refrigerator?
We recommend eating the meatballs within 4 days of opening the package.
How do I cook only a few of the Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs at a time in the microwave?
The heating instructions for each variety of Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs have been included below.
- Beef and Pork Meatballs: To heat 1 serving of meatballs (4 meatballs). Place 4 meatballs on a microwave safe dish. Cover and heat on HIGH for approximately 30 to 45 seconds. Let the meatballs stand for 2 minutes before serving.
- Chicken Meatballs: To heat 1 serving of meatballs (4 meatballs). Place 4 meatballs on a microwave safe dish. Cover and heat on HIGH for approximately 30 to 45 seconds. Let the meatballs stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Can I heat the Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs in the slow cooker?
Yes, our fresh meatballs can be heated in a crock pot or slow cooker. Just place the meatballs in the slow cooker. Stir in your favorite sauce until the meatballs are coated. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 ½ to 2 hours. Keep on LOW or WARM for up to 4 hours. Times may vary by slow cooker.
Can I freeze the package of Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs if I don’t plan on using them right away?
Yes. For the best product quality, we recommend using the meatballs within 3 months of freezing.
How do I cook the Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs once they have been frozen?
From a frozen state, the steps to cook our frozen meatballs are identical to those for our frozen meatballs. For example, here are the heating instructions for our Italian meatballs.
Can I freeze the Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs once they have been cooked?
We do not recommend freezing the meatballs once they have been reheated. We recommend heating only the quantity you would like to eat. We recommend storing the remaining meatballs in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in a sealed container or bag.
How long after the expiration date, are the Fully Cooked Fresh Meatballs safe to consume?
We don’t recommend consuming the product past the expiration date.
Why does it look like there is a film of grease or fat accumulated around the meatballs in the opened package?
This is a natural occurrence for a product made in this manner. The meatballs are perfectly safe to consume.
